{"id":1855,"date":"2023-11-26T13:40:36","date_gmt":"2023-11-26T12:40:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surtursschmiede.de\/?post_type=product&#038;p=1855"},"modified":"2026-01-27T18:04:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T17:04:59","slug":"schwerer-wikinger-halsring-aus-sterlingsilber-mit-drachenkoepfen","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/surtursschmiede.de\/en\/shop\/schwerer-wikinger-halsring-aus-sterlingsilber-mit-drachenkoepfen\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy Viking Neck Ring with Dragon Heads in Gotland Style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This neck ring is based on a similar arm ring that was found in Gotland, Sweden.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gotland was home to Visby, one of the largest and most important trading cities of the Viking Age (~793-1066).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Very elaborate, valuable pieces of jewelry were repeatedly found there, including neck rings (torcs) like this one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The neck ring was made entirely by hand and weighs approx. 215 grams (version 10mm) for a neck circumference of 40cm.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The maximum diameter of the neck ring is 8 or 10mm, depending on the model.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The use of fine silver for the thickest strands allows the size to be adjusted slightly by bending it, making it easy to put on and take off.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The dragon heads and the thinner twisted decorative wire are made of sterling silver.
