This opal ring is a unique, high-carat blacksmith work by Surtur's forge.
The inspiration for the design of the ring comes from the description of Ragnarök, the final battle of the Norse gods.
In this final battle, the fire giant Surtur faces the fertility god Freyr.
The course of the battle is influenced by the fact that the god Freyr has to go into battle without his sword Mimming and therefore uses antlers as a weapon.
With this he stabs out Surtur's eye, shortly before receiving a fatal blow from his sword Surtlogi.
But what happened to Surtur's Eye after the battle? Was it destroyed? Or did it survive the end of the gods and giants and is now enshrined in a legendary jewel?
Only the wearer of this ring will know the answer…
The base material of the ring is 950 platinum with a smooth interior, the decorations made of twisted and braided 900 yellow gold adorn the outer sides and frame the centerpiece of the opal ring.
The Australian opal in the center is also set in 900 yellow gold and has a fascinating fire with red, yellow, blue and purple accents.
The ring weighs 32 grams; 21 grams of 950 platinum and 10.5 grams of 900 yellow gold.
Width of the ring: approx. 13mm
Ring diameter: 18.7mm
Suitable for fingers with ring size 58.
