This arm ring is a replica of a similar arm ring found in Gotland, Sweden.
Gotland was home to Visby, one of the largest and most important trading cities of the Viking Age (~793-1066).
There, many elaborate and valuable pieces of jewelry have been discovered, including arm rings like this one.
Completely handcrafted, it weighs approximately 115 grams for a wrist circumference of 20 cm (version 10 mm).
The use of fine silver for the thickest strands allows the size to be adjusted slightly by bending it, making it easy to put on and take off.
The dragon heads and the thinner twisted decorative wire are made of sterling silver. All details have been highlighted through a black patination of the silver.
The high price reflects a lengthy manufacturing process; some of the historical patterns involved had to be discovered through experimentation and research.
A unique replica of Viking-era craftsmanship!
Please select your wrist size and the desired version/thickness of the arm ring before purchase. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
